Id. is improper when citing to a preceding footnote containing more than one different cite. However, a short form is acceptable.
Example: 1 Dillon v. Gloss, 256 U.S. 368, 369 (1921); State v. Scheffer, 118 S.Ct. 1262, 1266 (1998). 2State v. Scheffer, 118 S.Ct at 1266.
